Below are the various Sears variations that you may encounter. At the moment, we will deal only with cartridge/label variations. Sometime in the future, we'll get into some detail with boxes. Above we have the copyright information. As you can see, the top is much larger font than the bottom. When necessary, this will be pointed out in specific game variations. Above we show the specific end label of Baseball. The top letters are yellow, while the bottom are gold. This is very common with many of the titles. You may also see this in the main labels. For our third item for labels, above we see two versions of the Sears copyright information. The first has a comma after Sears, the second has a period. Again, this may be present with several titles and will be noted. There are a few titles that have the variation above, the slanted “s” font versus the regular “s”. The last photo above features all the different types of main labels. Not all games will have 4 different variations, but some will, or a combination thereof. The first label is for the original release games where the product number starts with “99”. The second version they put a “6” in front of it. The third version puts a “49” in front. The last version is the picture label. Sometimes product numbers will change from the first to the last. All product numbers are listed in the cartridge descriptions for clarity. |
