Below are the Data Age variations. We are showing you samples of scans so you can better understand what you are looking for. First will be the cartridge mold. Second will be the box variations.
Above we have the differences with Data Age cartridges. The top two carts show the difference between a rough plastic (on the left), which has the same texture as a standard Atari cart, and the smooth plastic (on the right). The 3rd cartridge on the bottom has an arrow showing you the round casting mark.
Above we have the side box variations. Several games have this variation. Box front and back have white letters from what I've determined on all of these variations. I'm guessing at this time that all the games with an 8/82 printed box had white letters on the side. I believe Data Age changed the letters to black to see more easily when seen from a distance. All games with only 1 box release have black letters on the side. Titles known with 2 side box variations are Airlock, bugs, Encounter at L-5, Sssnake and Warplock.
